TMK Senior Environmental Scientist Nominated as New South Australian Branch President of Soil Science Australia.

We are delighted to announce the recent appointment of John Weber to the position of President of the SA branch of the Australian Society of Soil Science Incorporated, also known as Soil Science Australia. John is a Senior Environmental Scientist at TMK and a registered Certified Professional Soil Scientist. He has been a proactive committee member of the branch in South Australia and has held key roles including Vice President.

John has extensive experience in the United States and Australia, including Senior Research Coordinator at Savannah River Ecology Lab in the US; Research Scientist at the Centre for Environmental Risk Assessment & Remediation and Project Manager at the University of South Australia. He has over a one hundred scientific publications to his name and presented his research at both domestic and international conferences.

Soil Science Australia is a not-for-profit, professional association for soil scientists and people interested in the responsible management of Australia’s soil resources. Soil Science Australia supports soil scientists and promotes the importance of soil as a finite resource.

The SA branch involves a proactive soil science community committed to digging deeper into soils and expanding new horizons. Spread across the state our members work for The University of Adelaide, University of South Australia, Flinders University, PIRSA, SARDI and private enterprise.

At TMK John is responsible for the investigation, planning, design and project management of all environmental projects ranging from desktop site investigations to generating comprehensive data (e.g. soil, soil vapour and groundwater) to complete site environmental audits including the remediation phase.
